Budweiser is an American-style pale lager produced by Anheuser-Busch, currently part of the transnational corporation Anheuser-Busch InBev. Introduced in 1876 by Carl Conrad & Co. of St. Louis, Missouri, it has grown to become one of the largest selling beers in the United States.
One of the most popular theories of how we got our name is that the beer was named from the red stripe that runs down the side of the uniform of the Jamaican police.
Former employees recall that one day, brewmaster Paul Geddes was stopped by a police officer, who was doing a routine spot check when someone from the brewhouse called out to ask him what name they should give the new beer.
Kronenbourg Brewery is a brewery founded in 1664 by Geronimus Hatt in the Free Imperial City of Straßburg (today Strasbourg, France). The name comes from the area where the brewery relocated in 1850. The company is owned by the Carlsberg Group. The main brand is Kronenbourg 1664, a 5.5% abv pale lager.
Carlsberg Special Brew is a rich malty, super strength lager. It is full bodied, with cognac notes and a distinct bitterness. Since its launch to market in the early 1970’s Carlsberg Special Brew has been one of the leading UK super strength lagers.
